This is the main step in the career of every diving professional. Being an SSI Open Water Instructor offers the possibility of teaching and supervising courses for recreational divers from scratch. In addition, once you are an instructor, you can continue training as an Advanced Open Water Instructor and expand your horizons and versatility as a professional even more.
Rubicón Diving is one of the centers that trains the most professionals every year nationwide. Among our staff, we have two Instructor Trainers, so that your training as a diving professional is the best.
The ITC course (Instructor Training Course) lasts a total of 10 days and prepares the candidates for the evaluation or exam, for instructors that is carried out at the end of the course.
It provides the knowledge, skill, and preparation necessary to properly organize, train, and teach certified divers. The SSI standards and philosophy are once again a basic pillar in the methodology and content of the course.
You will learn how to present academic presentations in the classroom, skill demonstrations in confined and open water environments and have exam simulations and much more. All under the supervision and guidance of your Instructor Trainer.
We have excellent and complete facilities, which include swimming pools and state-of-the-art classrooms for the development of your ITC. We can also help you manage your stay on the island, in case you do not have accommodation.
Once certified as an SSI Open Water Instructor, you will be able to teach the SSI Open Water Diver and corresponding courses, as well as Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue, Perfect Buoyancy and Dive Guide specialty courses, at any SSI dive center in the world.
