The ANDI Technical Safe Air Diver course is the starting point for technical diving, and the basis for all higher level technical training. From this point the recreational configuration is replaced by a full technical configuration. The course uses SafeAir mixes (EAN) and a decompression gas during the dives. The Technical SafeAir Diver training certifies you for diving to 40 meters with a maximum 30 minutes of in-water decompression. Key skills covered during the course include:

- The ANDI Technical Safe Air Diver course costs €1250 and includes six open water dives. The course can be completed in four days and is open to any diver holding the required prerequisites.
