The ANDI Technical Rebreather Diver level 3 course is, as the name suggests, the first step in becoming a technical rebreather diver. the main progression within the level 3 course is that you still dive to a maximum depth of 40 metres but, now with the introduction of a maximum of 30 minutes decompression time. The introduction of decompression stops will allow your bottom to increase and over the duration of the course your dives will become progressively longer as you become more comfortable with your decompression stops.
Within the course you will learn how to plan your dives to include decompression stops. You will also learn to plan your bail out gases should there be any problem with your unit. Your dives will initially contain simulated decompression stops and bail out procedures to ensure that you have the buoyancy control that is needed to carry out the required stops. These are important skills that you need to master if you are to progress further in becoming a technical rebreather diver.
